Camera: Olympus C-8080 Wide Zoom
This collection of photographs were taken at different shutter speeds to determine the best
exposure time to 'correctly' photograph a GLS source in a mirror lantern at night. 'Correctly' here is purely subjective; but as
a rule of thumb, at night the individual mirrors of the lantern can be discerned by eye, and this could be used as a metric
whilst looking at the pictures.
Loss of detail of the mirrors began at 1/640 and 1/500 shutter speed. Unfortunately, this exposure didn't capture any of the
surrounding foliage nor the bracket itself.
All detail of the mirrors disappered after a shutter speed of 1/60. All subsequent slower speeds suffered from more and more glare
caused by over-exposure.
