The stairs continued upwards, and would’ve emerged at ground level near the substation I’d pictured previously.
However, we didn’t take them, as they were now blocked.
Emerging at the level above, another mystery room beckoned. A large concrete base and bolts suggested that a
large piece of hardware had been installed here - but had now been removed. There were no electrical or piping
connections here either - so the purpose of this concrete base remains unknown.
