Johnson/Jenner was mostly identical to Andrewes/Alleyn which was another roughly north-south facing ward. Its placement and configuration was suited to spacing between wards outside of the horseshoe corridor where it acted as a separator between the neighbouring radial pavilion blocks. Much like many of the wards situated near the rear of the hospital, it had been cleared before the building’s closure and had suffered from the steady erosion of water damage ever since.
