The day room of Ruskin was still relatively intact and we paused inside to listen for guards or any signs of activity. We were now within spitting distance of the John Hutchinson Centre and everyone was slightly nervous.

After a short discussion, we decided to make for the Water Tower. I really wanted to climb it, and if we were going to get caught, then I wanted it to be after we’d climbed the imposing structure. It was just like Colditz's "Do Or Die": climb the Water Tower or never do it. This was our last chance. But how many lucky roles of the dice did we have?
