This shot did not come out well, and messing around with the brightness and
contrast just seemed to turn everything blue. Still, I kept it in to illustrate
more of Cane Hill’s hazards.
After a short north, we arrived at the corridor entrance that would take us east
towards Mapother ward. The entrance had been boarded up, but previous
explorers had kicked a handy hole in it.
Ducking through that, we emerged in a corridor filled with black plastic bin-liners.
Scrambling over these, we lurched down the stairs into a corridor blocked with more
bin-liners, clothing, furniture and all manner of hospital debris. It seemed that
every piece of equipment was blocking up this corridor.
Hence this rubbish shot. Here I was perched on some bin-liners full of old clothing
looking back at the steps and the boarded up corridor entrance.
