And here’s the view to the left, looking towards Kings ward (the big triple-floor ward which is
the first seen from the footpath if coming in from Portnalls).
When I took the shot, I made a mental note of how (relatively) clean and tidy it looked. A discarded
mop even suggested that someone had started the job.
However, when reviewing the picture, I was a little disturbed by the state of the
sagging ceiling and dropping beams. A nice case of reversal at Cane Hill: the floor
was fine, the ceiling was starting to go.
