After passing the Turner ward (one which I want to explore further, as the
day room was on one side of the corridor with the individual rooms on the other, which struck
me as a weird configuration), and also neglecting Shaftesbury/Salter
(another odd one - just individual rooms and no day room, but also featured
the Men's Hairdresser), the corridor turned and straightened out.
Further down were the doors to Ruskin/Rossetti. Except that daylight
streamed in through the burnt remains of the ceiling. We’d finally found the start of Cane Hill’s fire damage.
Unfortunately, I didn’t think to look at the extent of the damage to Ruskin/
Rossetti. Instead, we veered to the left, taking a door outside to Number Two Garden.
