After exhausting the possibilities upstairs (climbing on the roof
wasn’t considered and would’ve been rather stupid), we took
two flights of stairs back down the ground floor.
Here’s the view from the first landing. Water damage could
be seen on the walls (the only signs of seepage in this
part of the hospital), but this was overshadowed by the
great mahogany banisters and paneling, the original
tiled floor and the great stained glass arch over the doors.
