We moved north and briefly took in the generally insane sights in Pugin.

Huge piles of furniture, braced against bay windows, was an early phenomena documented by early explorers. It was assumed that ‘dwellers’ still occupied the decrepit buildings, boarding themselves in to keep the world out.

More likely it was an effective means of keeping trespasses out by security - pile a huge mound of twisted metal against the access point. Easy - and the more weird rumours that start circulating, the better.
