We squeezed past the metal doors into the room and I was pleasantly surprised. We’d stumbled across one
of the more secret parts of the hospital.
These old drying courts had been converted into an electrician’s workshop and backup generator. This half
of the room was given over to the electrician’s stores. Oddly, lots of clocks of various sizes were haphazardly
attached to the walls. Apparently this was a feedback mechanism, ensuring that the clocks in different
parts of the hospital were all in sync with each other.
