In front of us is the Guard’s Hut – why a hospital had a Guard’s Hut isn’t known, but the place was built in the wartime, so perhaps the Ministry Of Works got a little carried away. Behind it is the Nurses’ Accommodation, a rare two-storey structure (most of the hospital is single storey).
