Drives and paths had been cleared through the rubbish piles, and large skips were overflowing with rubbish – it looked like the site was being cleared.

At this point, we were about half way up the Covered Corridor and looking north. The fence erected by The National Trust can be clearly seen here, along with the site office for the asbestos removal firm.

The fence separated the site from The Saw Mill – and we were being especially wary having heard the car drive in.
