Our perimeter walk offered an overview of the hospital but little else. Having already talked to a hospital worker and gained permission to walk the grounds, it would’ve been a betrayal of trust to be caught inside – and, for that reason, we were a little reluctant to vault the insubstantial perimeter fence and try a few doors and windows. It was another reason for the lone-wolf urban exploration approach; no-one else should get into trouble, or be let down, by an interested party being given an inch and then talking the mile.
