Yet four years later I found myself back inside the male ward where we'd
waited for the worker to show us around. However, this time we hadn’t buzzed to be let
in and the ward wasn’t functioning or full of life, warmth and heat; it was cold and dark
and we'd struggled through a window to get access. My second, and final, visit to Graylingwell
was far more successful and used urban exploration techniques rather than try to gain
any permission. In my experience, it continues to be the only way to achieve success.
