The door lead into the top of the main hall. The wooden curved construction of the ceiling was
held in place by a lattice of metal joists and wires. Pulleys and assemblies for the lowering of
the light fittings were bolted to the trusses.
There didn’t seem to be a walkway across the top of the hall, and the first area had been
torched, the blackened beams thin and crumbled.
