Here’s the view from the bottom of the garden, looking back to the first ward cluster.
The water tower and a modern extension can be seen on the right.
The airing courts are roughly square, serving a ward cluster, with tarmac paths
running across centrally. At their intersection are octagonal shelters.
These airing courts and garden layouts are listed, having been designed by William Goldring.
A new housing development is planned for Rauceby, forming the basis of a new village on the hill. The good
news is that the wards facing the airing courts, and the airing courts themselves, will be preserved.
