It was somewhat amazing that these light fixtures were still here, and hadn’t been taken down. Whilst the
main brass bodies were somewhat crude, being fashioned of sweeps of flattened metal, the fluted glass refractors were almost dainty by comparison.
Such appreciation is, of course, sadly lacking in the vandals’ minds, as they've smashed the antique glass to
smithereens.
