Whilst this emphasised the administrative core of the hospital, the ballroom was also
unique decorated, this time with yellow bricks underpinning the frames and arches of the
room's large windows. (It isn't known if this was Trevail's original design, or a modification
added when the ballroom was rebuilt after the fire of 1927.)
