When we visited, Foster Building was empty and boarded up. Remarkably there was no perimeter fence but it didn't require one; the building now stood alongside the main entrance to the new Bodmin Hospital (constructed on the site of the Hubert Dingle and Sir John English Clinics) and the stream of visitors and staff ensured that the old hospital was kept in sight most of the time.
