40. The wards were divided up into patient types and the practise by 1890 was for: 25% Sick and Infirm, 20% Recent and Acute; 15% Epileptics; 40% Working and Quite Chronic. Normally the ward design doesn’t show much differentiation in building style between the wards, with the notable exception of Cane Hill.
