Some of the proposed demolition makes sense. There's not much you can do with the Laundry,
Stores or a wooden shed (the schedule is detailed but the plan it refers to:
Broadway Malyan Urban Design Analysis March 2001 doesn't appear on the Internet.) The
Main Hall was doomed anyway, and the arsonist's
petrol can and matches effectively cemented the deed.
Below: The Main Hall at West Park was destroyed by fire late 2003.
Adjacent to the Main Hall was a smaller dining room. I've never
seen this design in any other asylum.
