We walked into the courtyard behind Ashford. Windows were boarded up, and the area was very overgrown
- it was great stuff.
West Park retained the echelon spacing of the wards (an idea starting to fall out of favour as hospital design
moved towards the colony system and villas), but they were more self contained and separated. Thus, between each of the wards,
we found these overgrown green grassy areas.
