The unique feature to the left of the porch drew us along the frontage of the house. This circular room looked out of place; oddly appended to the stark linear angles of the rest of the house, giving it an asymmetrical wild look.

A small circular corridor encircled this outcrop, but had suffered badly. The roof had collapsed, and merry vandals had broken away brickwork and the mullions of the window. But such thoughtless crimes were small compared to the total decay of the house itself.
