I stood in the huge cavernous place and took a shot of the boilerplate of a compresser. Various documents and signs hinted a name of "Cathedral" for this place. A geometric entwining of the Roman-styled "M" and "V" still proudly proclaimed the compressor's builder: the once mighty Metropolitan Vickers. Id also been snapping GEC and BTH logos, aware of our one-proud electrical industrial base, and lamenting the former General Electric Company and British Thompson-Houston. "You know Tom, this place is a mausoleum to former British electrical and manufacturing companies..."

Two strangers suddenly appeared, walking along a corridor towards us. They were being very friendly either in a fellow explorer way or in a sarcastic security way.

"What are you doing?"
