If the sulphur emissions were too high, then perhaps it's a good thing that
Stewartby Brickworks finally closed. It certainly wasn’t the fault of management or
of the remaining hard workers.
But I hope the workers disregarded the final "motivational" instruction stuck to the office walls, and drank
themselves stupid at the final farewell at the Red Lion. What had they to lose?
