sleaford maltings | between a rock and a hard place

The Kiln Room of malting house #8 was in much worse condition than the previous block. Most of the first floor had been cut away; only the jagged edges of some girders revealed where it once was.

The room was empty except for some empty buckets and containers scattered around.

We decided to continue working westwards towards the centre of the site, as we assumed each of the malting houses would be similar.
