We took the narrow stairs to the top floor. It was much the same, but years of rain through the missing tiles had caused the ceiling to rot and drop onto the floor below. Ferns and mosses were now growing on the floor.

It looked treacherous so we didn’t venture out and remained standing on the steps for this shot. I’d later wish I’d used the same tactics whilst walking across the top of the silos.
