ditchingham maltings | there but for the grace of god

We took false turns, we ended up in empty rooms, we found ourselves back in the pigeon room. But eventually we found our way onto the top of the silos.

It was a different world. Dry concrete walls, supported by "V" shaped concrete supports, with holes in the floors where the grain would’ve been originally poured in. The views across the site were wonderful.

We moved eastwards across the top of the first silo, through the metal framed walkway between the two, and finally into the top of the second silo.

I then turned back and looked at what I’d just walked across.
