Recent fires and systematic robbing of building materials had not helped the buildings, and the south eastern part of the complex was in extremely poor condition. The roof had long gone as the sky could be seen through the upper windows but the lower windows were still dark. I could deal with an empty shell of a building, but one where the upper levels had collapsed and the remaining beams were presumably rotting was a different prospect entirely.

Therefore we were very careful in this building. It’s a pity we weren’t as careful on top of the silos.
