walthamstow stadium | the goldilocks triumvirate: too hot

A footpath running along the southern boundary of the site suggested ways in. We found another rank of stages, boarded up, broken and ugly. Infiltration points were overlooked by the suburban houses or the sports fields we were skirting.

Walthamstow Stadium hit hard times and the dogs simply hadn’t paid the way. The owners eventually cut their losses and sold out to greedy property developers in August 2008 just as the entire housing market collapsed. They were going to build flats.
