Before entering the Gas Decontamination Building, I took a shot of two
Barrack Type ‘Q’ buildings. When see in plan view, they have a ‘T’ shape, as shown by the furthest block.
The NCOs had their separate rooms by the central stairwells, whilst the airmen slept
in large dormitories either side. The third part of the ‘T’ was used for showers, toilets and storerooms.
