This was one of the Officers rooms – complete with fitted wardrobe, mirror,
sink, curtains and carpet. It was positively homely.
In fact this room looked unusually pristine. Some of the rooms upstairs resembled
Cane Hill in their dereliction – complete with a small forest of
mould, moss and bracken growing on the carpet.
