aldington | open prison

The prisoner would now be introduced to his dorm and his own cell. I don’t recall seeing any dormitories at Aldington, so I assume each prisoner had his own room.

Sandwich Dorm, immediately to the south of the Clothing Exchange and General Stores, was atypical. It had several reception rooms and the cells themselves were larger than the others in the prison. Despite its rough nature (being built of exposed concrete blocks) it was painted in pastel shades and the cells had heavy blue curtains.

From scattered artefacts and documentation, it became clear that Sandwich dorm was the suicide dorm. A general alarm button and paperwork pertaining to suicide watches suggested this dormitory was for the most disturbed inmates.
