At the end of 2005, and the start of 2006, building work finally started on the main, original
building of Warley Asylum. These pictures, taken by Mechanised,
show the hospital in January, as many of the various extensions built over the years have been demolished,
leaving the hospital building as it was originally designed in 1853.
