As the number of asylums dwindles, the question arises as to which building type will become redundant next. My own personal theory was that power stations would be the next large group of buildings to become discontinued and derelict. Considering the government’s emerging panic about energy provisions for this century, given that many of the coal and oil fired power stations are closing, is perhaps indicative of this forthcoming trend.
