I walked down the short length of tunnel towards the original centre entrance. The original cast iron gates
were there, along with some more modern corrugated steel - both failing completely to keep a huge amount
of blocking soil and stones from falling into the tunnel.
It’s surprising that this entrance hasn’t been dug at either - but then again, the hole in the roof did make
things easy.
