I was allowed for a brief moment into the country house snooping of John Harris and the 1950s and 1960s.
Beedingwood allowed me to appreciate some of the facets of country house observation and the wonders to
be found within.
But, still drawing parallels, the fate of Beedingwood will match the fate of many of the
houses he explored in those halcyon days: it’s going to be demolished.
