Moving on eastwards, a second north-south spur appeared. Made entirely of dark, varnished wood, with
light coloured floor tiles, it was in direct contrast to the rest of the school building.

The school swimming pool was obviously of later construction and in much better state than the rest of the
school buildings. Chemicals to maintain water quality, swimming costumes and floats could still be found in
the changing rooms; the pool itself was devoid of water and rapidly filling up with junk.
