We quickly scuttled across the next lane to an open door leading to the semi-basement of malting house #7’s Garner.
The conveyor bridge connecting these two blocks was partially fire damaged.
Three fires had occurred at the maltings over its lifetime and many parts of the central blocks were no more than shells.
