It was decided from the outset that our route through Sleaford Maltings would be extremely methodical:
we would photograph all the floors of one of the malthouse blocks before moving to the centre block and
tackling the water tower. Luckily access was relatively easy and we were able to explore the site in this manner.
By tackling the site this way, we photographed all the main functional areas of the malting. Unfortunately we missed
some of the conveyor belts and malting machinery which was still extant in some of the malthouse blocks, but a detailed
exploration of the entire site would’ve been required to find those.
